Great Smoky Mountains

We started out today in Newport, Tennessee. We missed our turn and crossed over the French Broad River, which we'll see again in Asheville. After righting our course, we drove into Sevierville, TN to find the Dolly Parton statue. Legend has it that touching the statue's breast brings good luck... who are we to tempt fate?

We then went into Pigeon Forge to The Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant. The apple fritters and homemade apple butter were SO scrumptious!!

After a brief stop at the scrapbook store (M.E.) and a nap in the RV (Tino), we headed out through the Great Smoky Mountains through Gatlinburg and Cherokee. It was raining and misty, and the scenery was breathtaking.

We're now in Asheville, excited for a spa visit tomorrow at Shoji Retreats.
